“ A lovely country pub, in a gorgeous little village, good wine and coffee. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Clean, stylish and comfortable bedroom for an overnight stay. ”
“ This place was nothing but lovely. it was a bit loud from the bar which you could hear throughout top. If I’m being completely honest I was there for business so not the greatest sleep but if there for leisure and your tipsy already it’s a 5-star. The staff are lovely and good portions are nice. Lots of drinking space to drink, and the rooms are really really nice. ”
“ Been here a couple of times now and the food, service, and atmosphere have been excellent! Really impressive food for the price point - definitely higher end than your average gastropub. They can get quite busy at wkends but the service was just as friendly and professional as when we went mid week. Doggy friendly too which is always a plus My only minor gripe was that the cheesecake was a bit of a miss - overly set and with a soggy bottom - but every other dish we've had there has been bang on. Will definitely be back! ”
“ My partner and I have just returned from our visit to The Boot in Repton. We were absolutely blown away by this place. We booked a superior room which included breakfast at a price point which is ridiculously cheap for what you receive! The room was spacious, very clean and incredibly equipped (high end toiletries, a proper kettle, coffee maker etc...). The bed was huge and very comfortable great nights sleep. The food was outstanding! We booked a table that evening and had the roast beef. The following morning we had a full English. Great quality produce cooked really well. The staff were fantastic. Especially Will who checked us in and was very hospitable (couldn’t do enough for us). We had a few drinks in the bar that evening and witnessed the great rapport he has with some of the locals/families which was great to see. The venue is situated centrally and close to St Wystan Church which is also the location of an old Saxon Abbey of which the old Saxon crypt can still be accessed via the church and is well worth a visit. The history buff in me cannot wait to return to explore more and I look forward to my next stay at The Boot. ”
“ Absolutely amazing family meal, Lauren and other staff were very courteous and professional, the food exceeded my expectations with great Gluten Free options, definitely deserves it's reputation IMO ”
“ Outstanding meal here last night - such simple ingredients (such as cabbage and cauliflower) turned into seriously tasty dishes. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed the food that we were served. Service was also excellent - great attention to detail. We'll definitely be returning. ”
“ Me and my wife travelled from Ironbridge Shropshire up to see one of The National Trust places in the area.Calke Abbey. Because we had nearly a two hour drive home, we decided to call into one of the local pubs in the town of Repton. First impression was there was limited parking, so we parked a few streets away in a public car park. But upon entering the pub we realised this was a busy food pub .And, the bar person said they had no availability in the restaurant .But we were able to dine in the bar. We were impressed with the menu. I had the panfried fish, and my wife had the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with all the vegetables. We can say this was fine dining without it being protentous. Our meals were cooked to perfection. We had dessert too and again they were excellent. We did not stay here in one of the rooms .However, if we are ever up in that part of the world again ,we will definitely call in again. ”
“ A lovely and relaxing stay at the Boot Inn! We celebrated a 65th birthday and stayed the night. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, lovely beer garden with sun all day, and the food was amazing, so yummy and well presented! I had lovely refreshing soda and fresh limes all evening, but treated myself to a gorgeous cocktail that the staff recommended! Thanks for a truly special evening! ”
